Faz hoje 25 anos que o universo musical ficou mais pobre, quando o grande Freddie Mercury nos deixou...
Em jeito de homenagem, trago duas das minhas músicas favoritas dos Queen: "Who Wants to Live Forever" e "Innuendo".
A primeira pertence ao álbum "A Kind of Magic", de 1996, e faz parte da banda sonora do filme "Highlander" (onde podemos também encontrar a "Princes of the Universe"). Teve inúmeras covers, desde o Seal (1992), aos Il Divo (2013) e até mais recentemente os The Tenors com Lindsay Sterling (2015).

"Innuendo"... Uma obra-prima do grupo inglês, pertence ao último álbum lançado enquanto Freddie estava vivo (1991); Pertence ao álbum homónimo, que foi avaliado como sendo o disco mais triste lançado pelos Queen, visto que o vocalista se encontrava bastante mais fragilizado devido a doença que o vitimou.
A letra desta música foi escrita por Roger Taylor, inspirando-se na condição de Freddie; Curiosamente, "Kashmir" dos Led Zeppelin foi também uma inspiração para esta música e o vocalista da banda, Robert Plant, interpretou a "Innuendo" no The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, em 1992.
